Welcome to Shangri La Chinese Cuisine. On September 23, 1960, Don Francisco Wong Esquivel established, in Juárez and El Paso, the first formal Chinese food restaurants. The young entrepreneur wanted to create a fascinating and beautiful place that could represent paradise. Since its opening in 1960, Shangri La Chinese Cuisine has remained at the same location, becoming a tradition in Juárez, El Paso and the surrounding areas, and thereby fulfilling all the expectations of Don Francisco.

Shangri La Chinese Cuisine has distinguished itself with its well-known, traditional dishes of high culinary quality, its neat service, and its staff's amiability. We have also enjoyed the personal touch imparted by the restaurant's founder, the distinguished Mr. Don Francisco Wong, for many years. We extend a legacy of tradition and distinction Mr. Wong's family took part in and now wishes to continue in his honor.
